May They Be Liberated Anyway

Some people feel that those who have done wrong must pay,

But I don't think so.

You probably think there must be justice in this world,

But I won't have anything to do with it.
If someone robs or harms,
that's ok by me.
My light is not harmed.
(There is plenty for everybody if you are still.)

There is in fact karma, and the due, positive or negative, is exacted perfectly.

But to me, personally, I'm not keeping track.

It is common to feel wronged by an acquaintance, friend or enemy.

May all wrongdoers, without exception, live in perfect happiness.
(You may call me naive, but can't I say what I want?)

Many people are confident that various races, societies or religions are superior or inferior.

Regardless of everyone's particular philosophy,
May everyone be liberated today.

Some people commit heinous crimes and are considered the bane of society.

Since their nature is clear while their mind is confused,
I am certain they are just like me.

The wise know that the arrogant actually do fall to the suffering realms,

But starting now, may they instead go directly
To Nirvana's Pure and Happy Land.

Shamans learn that they must protect themselves from evil forces,

But to me it feels good when demons attack.
(What they see as loot, is my wisdom body.
Each pure bite is wonderful; the blood leaves no stain.)

May all practitioners of all profound revelations, and may all those
Who have not heard the profound teachings, attain perfect enlightenment today!

Mixing the profound Dharma with politically correct ideas may seem progressive or exciting,

But well-meaning popular ideas are simply dysfunctional Adharma, a shadow in the light of inconceivable goodness.
Don't poison your dharma with superficial goodness,
Don't waste this wildly auspicious time, diluting it
With childish projects that never really amount to anything.
Go back to the real thing!

Some people believe that they will be OK later, waiting for something to happen.

Right now, may their minds become free and at ease.
(What a great surprise, enjoying life to its fullest!)

Some people feel that there is an external and an internal.

May they achieve baby-like non-dual awareness.
